REVIEW: Schlitterbahn's Holiday Splash & Moody Garden's ICE LAND

Earlier this month my family had the opportunity to visit Holiday Splash at Schlitterbahn Galveston Island and Moody Garden's ICE LAND. For one day we were able to get away from all the holiday hustle and bustle and had ourselves a F-U-N-TASTIC time! 

Our day started out at Moody Garden's ICE LAND featuring ice sculptures with SpongeBob Squarepants.  The ice sculptures were so amazing!  It was a magical experience and we totally enjoyed  the Winter Wonderland ambiance - it was a chilling 9 degrees!  So, if you plan on visiting, be sure to dress warm. 

We finished our day over at Schlitterbahn Galveston's Holiday Splash.  It was a perfect way for us to unwind and relax.  Even though it's cooler outside, we were able to experience Summer at Schlitterbahn Galveston. My favorite spots were the heated pool and the swim-up refreshment bar - aaahhhhh! We floated in tubes most of our time there but you can also experience several cool slides and their famous Boogie Bahn surf ride! And guess what - Santa is giving surf lessons to kids on the Boogie Bahn!!

Schlitterbahn Galveston Holiday Splash  takes place weekends and select dates from November 28, 2014 through January 4, 2015 so you still have time to visit! Schlitterbahn's Holiday Splash and Moody Garden's ICE LAND make the perfect pair of new holiday traditions!
